At lats, the movie gives you ample scenes to laugh and enjoy and finally we have a movie that glorifies friendship instead of love. At certain points, you feel that you are reading a Durjoy Dutta book that is exclusively for the the entertainment of youngsters & teenagers.
Further, the movie is shot at beautiful locations including Gurgaon, Rishikesh & Amsterdam, which make it a pleasing experience for the viewers and the politics and mind games between love z& friendship strike a chord with the audience and make it a relatable watch for the millennials. Nushrat Barucha delivers a fine performance with venom and a feminine ego that makes her easy to hate and repel off.
#SONU KI TITU KI SWEETY WATCH ONLINE FULL#
The bromance between Kartik Aryan & Sunny Singh is full of great chemistry but in this movie, the villain is played by the girl and that works for the movie very well. The film is mainly for the metropolitan audience and the leading man Kartik Aryan delivers a solid performance in which he acts not only well in the comic scenes, but also leaves a strong impression in the emotional scenes and scenes that require depth. Now, just like any other Luv Ranjan film, this movie also is replete with comic punches, below-the belt humour, sexy girls in bikinis, a great soundtrack, and most importantly a fresh and youthful vibe that refreshes the audience. Now, the plot of the movie is based on the war of the sexes, but the most vital strength of the movie are the terrific string of comic scenes or gags that are based on the battle between bromance and romance. No wonder, the movie grossed 100 crores at the box-office and the character of Sonu was an instant hit with the masses as that character had filled a void among the youth who crave for a friend like Sonu in their life. Directed by Luv Ranjan & written by Rahul Mody & Luv Ranjan himself, the movie is an out and out comic caper and although it was termed as misogynistic by a section of the audience, the movie was liked by the masses and was widely appreciated by the youth of the country. Now, everybody loved this movie and it was a landmark for Kartik Aryan as it immediately catapulted him into a star. But misogyny is a total turn off, this one's not your film. If you like comedies of the flavour of Pyaar Ka Punchnaama, you'll probably love the film. Alok Nath's non sanskari version was a sight to watch for. The cinematography was good, but the music was probably the best part.Ĭoming to the performances, Sunny Singh was probably the weakest link in the film. The film had a consistent first and second half. Had these parts not bothered me, there were genuine moments of fun and takrar that would keep the audience hooked. The insensitivity which Sonu's character exhumes is appalling, to say the least. He wants Pihu back in Titu's life because he can control her and she would never challenge him. But I could never come to terms with how Sonu idea women for his own convenience. Ok, let us consider that this was the POV of the director to take the plot forward. She is just a reiteration of the fact that an understanding woman is a myth. She is shown as a shrewd, manipulative woman. Now the problem does not lie with the fact that the woman is too perfect and Sonu has difficulty in digesting the fact. When he finally is all set to get hitched to the perfect girl, he still has a problem, because he is too perfect. So Titu is the dilfek guy who falls in love every now and then, only with the very wrong people. No, this isn't a rant about the bromance that is shown in Luv Ranjan's films, but the toxic idea of relationship that is being shown and propagated through his films. But after watching the film, I have been pretty disappointed.Īs interesting as the plot may sound, it comes to the same point as has all the pyaar Ka punchnaamas. It is absolutely true that nowadays our friends are a bigger part of the family and their approval for the ones we love does matter a lot. The premise is good and having been part of a lot of press cons on the film, I got what Luv Ranjan wanted to convey. Sonu ki Titu Ki Sweety had an interesting premise - when a new person enters your life, how accommodating would you be.
